Seriously where does the time go? I have not written anything on my blog or my girls blog in almost 2 months. I feel like I am behind on everything right now. Life is super busy. I have a new appreciation for working mothers who are athletes. I had it made the last few year and I knew it, but not to the extent I know it now. Everything has to be planned. I need to know exactly when I am working out, working, parenting, etc. On top of that we are looking to put our house on the market in the next few weeks. Instead of doing longer workouts on the weekends, I have been painting, cleaning, and packing things away. On top of the Mike or I have been gone for the last 4 weekends. Life has never been busier. Last week at work we had the auditors in. Two of them were in their younger 20's, just married. They took hour lunches, chatted all day and (I imagine), went to happy hour at night. I can't even remember when I had time like that!
The main thing that is suffering is training. I get sick to my stomach when I hear all the training people are getting in. I think, why can't I do that. I have not been the best at time management lately. I could wake up at 6am on the weekends and get a trainer ride in. By the time the weekend comes, I am too exhausted to do that. I really need to start swimming too. I did jump in the water a few Sundays ago and cranked out a 2000 consisting of mostly kicking and pulling in under 45 minutes and that included some random chatting with the girl in the lane next to me.
I think I jinxed myself by saying that I am on for IM on facebook. If I am drastic changes need to take place soon! I need to form that habit. They say it takes 3 weeks to form one. I am not just talking the working out habit, I am talking the nutrition, rest, and all the other things that go into doing an IM. Most likely my only race will be IM. I am also doing Buffalo as a relay (another reason I need to get my butt in the pool).
I have to say that I do have an amazing job. It is all I could ask for at this stage in my life - flexability, laid back and pretty good pay.
WORKOUT goals for the week:
Tuesday: spinning
Wednesday: NLC - a lot of interval running
Thursday: spinning, swim
Friday: NLC
Saturday: long run
Sunday: Spin swim
I am not actually adding that much, just the weekend workouts and the swimming. Ok I guess I am adding a fair amount, but now is the time to get 'er done!
